ProtectiFlex products use our proprietary technology and comprise our key recycled non-biodegradable material together with a selected reinforcement material in a cementitious mix. They come in comes in various construction forms including cast-in place, precast, shotcrete, masonry blocks, composite and/or integrated modular solutions.
ProtectiFlex products are incorporated as an integrated protection layer tied to façade systems, structural framing components or a self-standing shield barrier system to critical infrastructure components for enhanced protection to extreme loading effects. Applications include facade systems for high-profile buildings, non-structural composite protection layers surrounding reinforced concrete walls and slabs in shelters, bunkers or ammunition storage facilities, perimeter barrier walls around critical facilities, transformers, tanks, or other infrastructure.
ProtectiFlex products are designed to utilize existing construction implementation practices in the cast-in-place, shotcrete, precast concrete and masonry industries, thus providing a cost-effective solution to facility owners. Our concrete-like material can be treated like a true concrete when manufacturing, enabling wide application of use. The product is extremely resilient, durable, sustainable and environmentally friendly.
In contrast, conventional concrete and masonry construction material products used for high threat environments, close-range blast effects and combination of terrorism threats (forced entry, blast and/or ballistic) are dense, bulky, brittle and lack enhanced damping characteristics. They also have not proven to provide a single effective solution to a variety of combined threats with an optimized section profile, footprint and associated cost.
