MABS 26 Conference 4-8 December 2023

The International symposium of Military Aspects of Blast & Shock (MABS 26) in Wollongong was indeed a BLAST. Jason Florek of Stone Security Engineering and Professor Alex Remennikov for University of Wollongong (UOW) presented the extensive blast testing performed in the USA and Australia on Protectiflex, a rubberised concrete which is blast and ballistic resistant.

 Protectiflex panels were put to the test in the University of Wollongong Blast simulator, demonstrating the incredible strength and flexibility of products that use tyre-derived materials under extreme load.
