ProtectiFlex® Shotcrete

ProtectiFlex Shotcrete is a game changer: a one-stop solution that can be sprayed on structures to strengthen them- and protect personal or critical infrastructure within them- from explosions, weapon effects, ballistic ballistic, forced entry and wind-borne debris.

ProtectiFlex Shotcrete

Protectiflex Shotcrete is a blast and ballistic mitigating cementitious building product manufactured by a conventional concrete batching plant and applied as a sprayed concrete-like material. Applied to a building wall as a coating, it provides protection against extreme blast and ballistics, and can be retrofitted into existing structures or integrated into new builds.

Extreme Loading Testing and Performance Validation

ProtectiFlex Shotcrete systems have successfully passed additional rigorous blast testing. Further details of the ballistics testing and associated ballistic ratings for the various thicknesses evaluated for the ProtectiFlex technology can be requested and released to authorized organizations.

Blast Testing

Shock Tube Testing and Performance validation of the ProtectiFlex Shotcrete application was conducted at the Australia National Facility for Physical Blast Simulation (NFPBS).

The testing demonstrated that a retrofitted masonry wall system with ProtectiFlex Shotcrete application provides good performance in a variety of peak reflected pressures and durations, with no sign of delamination, major damage or large permanent deformation. This shows a strong bonding between the protective coating and concrete masonry wall with increased flexibility and strength resistance. The ProtectiFlex shotcrete masonry wall system is a viable construction option for blast protection.

Further details of the simulated blast testing results and associated performance, along with associated dynamic modeling validation of the ProtectiFlex Shotcrete retrofit application on masonry wall construction can be requested and released to the authorized organizations.

Whatever your protection needs, ProtectiFlex is the solution.
