ProtectiFlex in Composite Modular System are cast in a wide range of architectural finishes that resemble precast panel assembly and can be incorporated in new construction, retrofit applications or integrated unit assemblies

Composite Modular System

ProtectiFlex Composite Modular panel system provides up to 45% weight reduction compared with reinforced concrete and fully grouted reinforced masonry for an equivalent blast and ballistic rating performance.

Extreme Load Testing and Performance Validation

ProtectiFlex in a Composite Modular Form has successfully passed additional rigorous blast testing. Further details of the ballistics testing and associated ballistic ratings for the various thicknesses evaluated for the ProtectiFlex technology can be requested and released to authorized organizations.

Blast Testing

Blast tests were performed on Composite Modular wall panels at the Stone-OBL blast testing site located in Deschutes County, Oregon near Bend, Oregon. The blast‐tested composite stud wall panels consisted of vertical cold‐formed steel studs embedded in a layer of ProtectiFlex.

The explosive charges used in the testing program were equivalent to car and truck bomb threats with different standoff distances for each test. The performance of the composite modular wall panels during these tests were recorded. Minor to moderate damage was observed with no spall or debris.

Further details of the blast testing results and associated performance, along with associated dynamic modeling comparisons between ProtectiFlex and standard reinforced concrete and masonry construction can be requested and released to the authorized organizations.
